OVER 300 ATHLETES TO COME, TRI, AND CONQUER AT THE MI TITANIUM

Michigan’s first triathlon of its kind to debut on August 26th.

Grand Rapids, MI – MI Titanium will introduce the 1st annual USA Triathlon-sanctioned race on Sunday, August 26th, offering Half-Iron, Full-Iron, and AquaBike options for participants.

“This is the first Full-Iron distance triathlon offered in Michigan, and we are amazed by the number of athletes in both Michigan and the Midwest that have shown their support for the MI Titanium,” states co-director Doug Tuttle

The Full-Iron distance will span across the Grand Rapids area covering 140.6 miles and the Half-Iron distance will amount to 70.3 miles. The swim, bike, and run courses tour some of West Michigan’s beautiful scenery and provides athletes with an opportunity to accomplish a significant milestone in triathlon racing.

While the MI Titanium has an extensive time commitment for everyone involved; race directors have teamed up with title sponsor, Kreis Enderle, Attorneys at Law, and many other local businesses to make the inaugural year a success for not only the participants but the volunteers and spectators alike.

Many businesses are opening their doors to host fun activities for both athletes and their loved ones. For example, Wolverine World Wide YMCA will be hosting families and friends at their facility, along with The Score who will have specials throughout the day.

Information on the race and volunteer inquiries can be obtained at www.mititanium.com or ann@tris4health.com

Race day, August 26 will benefit YMCA Strong Kids, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping communities live healthy and stronger.  To learn more about USAT visit: www.usatriathlon.org and www.usamideast.com to learn about this club event series.
